Once upon a time, we sat down at a picnic table and heard about an idea for a new craft beer brand in Houston. We listened. We heard. We went to work. And we didn't quite realize how influential it would become.
From those humble beginnings, and the five years that followed, Culture Pilot built the visual side of the Buffalo Bayou Brewing brand as it developed from concept to launch within a competitive premium segment. The product entered a growing market a step above competing products in quality and cost, and quickly gained traction within the United States.
The vision of the brand pays tribute to the heritage and pioneering history of Texas, and the adventurous spirit of Houston, a city built on outlaws and invention. For the first five years, we carried this story all throughout the visual strategy of the brand. In year six, the company grew to incorporate in-house design and marketing; a success story in itself.
In year eight, the company opened a state-of-the-art facility (pictured above and below) with a patio that overlooks the same skyline view we illustrated in our logo nearly a decade prior. The front entrance of the building (directed by Gerald Reichstein) features Culture Pilot's now iconic buffalo head design that has stood as a centerpoint of the brand since year one.
Thanks to Buff Brew for putting their trust into us. And their beer.
