Hi there!

If you're the average reader * you'll finish reading this in about 25 seconds, so without further ado, let's get to it!

This year is FLYING by and we are bringing in the holidays with a bang: October 5 marks Culture Pilot's 9th birthday. Holy what?! Did we just type that? We're really turning 9. Time flies with ridiculously passionate friends like you. If you're reading this, chances are you've helped us along the way; and we want to celebrate YOU...because you put the U in US! (In a totally platonic way, of course.)

So please RSVP and join us Friday evening, Oct 5, for non-stop champagne (and whiskey) toasts starting at 6PM. It's just a tiny celebration. Unless you bring friends who love toasts.

TEDxHoustonNov 3rd is TEDxHouston 2012: RESONATE. Together with a brilliant leadership team, we're looking forward to our third year of bringing the TEDxHouston community together and cannot wait to share it with you! Musicians, Scientists, Artists, Teachers, a Boxing Priest... There's just too much inspiring goodness to sum up in 25 seconds, but applications to attend are open for another 20 days. Please join us!

VisualizedOn November 8 and 9, we're excited to bring you VISUALIZED - a new conference for designers, coders, infographic and data visualization enthusiasts, and lovers of all things visually stunning and meaningful. We've invited a dream team of speakers who'll take the stage over two days at The TimesCenter in New York, NY, to share their experiences and insight on the future of communication with you. It will be a great adventure - we hope you'll make the journey with us!

COHoustonThis leaves the biggest news for last: COHouston is a go! Come celebrate Houston's creative community and innovative culture during the entire month of November as COHO shines the spotlight on our awesome talent and ecosystem in Film, Multimedia, Design, Technology, Arts, Crafts, Music... Know any events and organizations we should showcase? Let us know! Spread the good word and stay up to date at COHouston.com »

How did you do?   Was that 25 seconds?

* The average speed for adults is 300 words a minute, which means an average reader could rattle through War and Peace - which has about 560,000 words in its English translation - in about 11,866 minutes. It's true. We read that on the internet.
